China Flooring Holding, one of China's largest wooden flooring companies, raised an equivalent of $142 million on the Hong Kong stock market. China is the largest producer as well as the largest consumer of wooden flooring, and China Flooring is the biggest wood flooring brand in China. The Hong Kong public offering for China Flooring was over-subscribed by seven times, and made the company the first home-improvement firm to get listed on the Hong Kong stock market.
The company has traditionally dominated the wooden flooring market across Asia, but amid rising timber prices rise, stringent environmental restrictions and power shortages, the company is looking to expand and play a larger role in western wooden flooring markets.

Traditional flooring, whether tile, carpet, or vinyl, can be expensive. However, there are alternatives to traditional flooring that can save you a lot of money, including carpet samples. You will need to be creative and use some do it yourself skills to make these work. Carpet samples are given away by many retailers for free or for a nominal fee.
Some people have used these pieces to create attractive area rugs or even to carpet entire rooms. You can arrange samples into any pattern you like, and then adhere them to the floor or carpet pad with glue. An area rug can be made by adhering the samples to a sheet or drop cloth. If you want padding under the carpet, you will still have to pay extra for that.
